A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for Customs Clerk Import / Export coordinator role on behalf of our client, an established freight forwarding company based in Tilbury.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Process import customs clearances using Destin8 and other relevant systems.
Ensure compliance with all HMRC and UK customs regulations.
Prepare and submit import declarations accurately and efficiently.
Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port authorities.
Handle any queries related to customs entries and clearance delays.
Maintain up-to-date records of all import transactions.
Assist with duty and VAT calculations.
Stay updated on changes in customs laws and procedures.

Requirements:

Proven experience in customs clearance and import coordination.
Essential: Proficiency in Destin8 customs software.
Strong knowledge of UK import regulations, tariff codes, and compliance procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Experience liaising with HMRC and other customs authorities.
