Responsibilities:
You will work closely with our Directors to build relationships and support clients across a variety of sectors and geographies.
Your primary responsibilities will be to
- Lead customs and trade advisory projects
- Advise clients on customs and trade matters relating to compliance, duty savings and utilisation of preferential trade arrangements
- Deploy and utilise data-driven insights to support long-term strategic planning
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and partners
- Conduct audits and assessments of trade and supply chain operations
- Maintain a cutting-edge understanding of international trade and customs developments
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Contribute to thought leadership, insights and commentary
Qualifications and Skills:
We are looking for intelligence, experience, interest and initiative.
Essential:
- Min 5+ years of experience in consulting
- Min 7+ years of experience in customs / international trade
- Expert knowledge of customs, duty modelling, data analysis
- Excellent spreadsheet, presentation and analytics skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Pragmatic and commercially focused approach
Desirable:
- Qualifications in customs administration
- Familiarity with export licensing, SPS controls, excise regimes
- Familiarity with customs software products
