Job Objective
To contribute to formulating the strategic direction of Abu Dhabi Customs by translating its vision into organization-wide strategies and converting them into actionable business plans and operational objectives for all sectors, departments, and divisions.

Direct Supervisor: Head of the Studies and Planning Section
Supervises: None
Internal Relations: Directors, heads of departments, sections, and offices
External Relations: Government entities, regulatory authorities, consultants, and external service providers
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the regular review of the strategic plan of Abu Dhabi Customs and translate it into actionable roadmaps and operational plans across sectors and departments.
- Set guidelines for business planning, priorities, budgets, and operating models.
- Ensure alignment of the organization’s strategy with government directives and ongoing updates.
- Coordinate and supervise the implementation of strategic support policies and mechanisms based on quality and effectiveness criteria.
- Provide expertise and support in strategic planning and development of short- and long-term business plans to ensure the realization of Abu Dhabi Customs' vision and goals.
- Collaborate with managers and section heads to ensure strategic alignment of individual business plans (e.g., budgets, initiatives, resources) across the organization.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to executive directors in developing strategic and executive action plans tailored to departmental needs.
- Provide strategic advisory support to departments in developing and implementing business strategies and continuously improving planning frameworks.
- Supervise benchmarking and best practice studies to enhance organizational competitiveness and propose recommendations based on strategic, operational, or organizational insights.
- Evaluate external environments, business drivers, key success factors, and sector trends to propose strategic options and comprehensive implementation plans.
- Set priorities for initiatives and projects in coordination with departments to ensure alignment with Abu Dhabi Customs' overall strategy.
- Supervise the performance of contracted external consulting firms to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure documentation and preservation of all relevant strategic studies, models, and templates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 4-year diploma in Business Administration, Strategic Studies, or related fields.
Experience Requirements
- With a bachelor's or 4-year diploma: 4 years of relevant experience.
