Global Trade Compliance Assistant Manager with expertise in Free Trade Agreements (USMCA / KORUS) to join their growing team. Global Trade Compliance Assistant Manager Job Summary
- Pay: $125,000 – $175,000 annually, based on experience
- Schedule: Full-time, on-site role in Savannah, GA
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Free Trade Agreement compliance, with a focus on USMCA and KORUS.
- Oversee all aspects of FTA operations and ensure compliance with applicable U.S. Customs & Border Protection regulations.
- Coordinate ocean, air, and inland transportation from point of import to final delivery.
- Arrange expedited shipments to support production schedules.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for the Global Trade Department and other internal teams.
- Identify and implement cost-saving logistics initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes, providing strategic advice to leadership.
- Collaborate with vendors, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure efficient cross-border movement of goods.
Global Trade Compliance Assistant Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of experience in Free Trade Agreement management (USMCA / KORUS).
- 5+ years of supervisory experience.
- Direct experience with import/export shipping and customs clearance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of transportation operations (ocean, air, inland).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive or manufacturing industry experience.
- 4+ years of freight forwarding experience.
- Procurement department background in a related field.
