A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join their North Carolina-based team. This individual will be responsible for managing and ensuring adherence to global trade compliance regulations, driving process improvements, and collaborating cross-functionally to support international business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including HTS/HS classification, import/export controls, and PGA (Partner Government Agency) requirements.
- Oversee and manage duty drawback processes, including forecasting and strategy development.
- Utilize trade compliance software and automated tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and improve compliance programs aligned with U.S. and international trade laws and regulations.
- Influence internal stakeholders across departments (supply chain, logistics, legal, finance) to support compliance initiatives.
- Provide guidance on customs valuation, country of origin, and free trade agreements.
- Work with SAP to support trade data management and system integration.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for global customs authorities and internal audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in global trade compliance, with strong knowledge of HTS/HS classification and PGA requirements.
- Experience with duty drawback programs and customs compliance strategy.
- Proficiency with trade compliance software and tools (e.g., SAP GTS, MIC, or similar).
- Strong influencing, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
