About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Trade Compliance to lead our U.S. customs and trade compliance program. In this role, you’ll oversee global import/export operations, partner with customs authorities and brokers, and ensure our supply chain moves smoothly and compliantly. You’ll play a key part in shaping company policy, guiding international teams, and building efficient processes that minimize risk and maximize compliance.
What You’ll Do
Compliance Leadership
• Develop and enforce customs compliance procedures across all U.S. import activities
• Ensure accurate tariff classification, valuation, and documentation for all shipments
• Monitor changes in customs regulations and keep the company ahead of new requirements
Risk & Process Oversight
• Build and implement internal controls to ensure compliance
• Lead internal audits and resolve compliance issues with practical, compliant solutions
• Use ACE reporting and other tools to identify and drive process improvements
Cross-Border Collaboration
• Partner with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international teams to ensure seamless
clearance
• Provide guidance to manufacturing partners in Asia and Mexico on U.S. requirements
• Utilize ACE reporting to identify key areas for improvement
Team & Stakeholder Impact
• Act as the company’s key point of contact for U.S Customs and Border Protection
• Educate and advise internal teams on customs compliance best practices
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of product classification and understanding valuation for imports
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – advanced skills with MS excel preferred
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams, at all levels in the organization, including outside counsel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Preferred: U.S. Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist certification
