About the role: Lenovo is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support the North America team. You will play a crucial role in supporting efficient and compliant trade operations for Lenovo. This role is mapped to Lenovo’s US Global Headquarters in Morrisville, NC (Raleigh/Durham area) with the expectation that work is performed in a hybrid setting (3 days in office; 2 days remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Documentation: Review and validate documentation for compliance and operational accuracy.
- Monitor Regulatory Updates: Monitor and assess regulatory changes impacting business operations.
- Global Compliance Oversight: Support adherence to international regulations across all countries where business is conducted.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct investigations to minimize legal and operational risks.
- Tariff Management: Monitor and manage tariffs to ensure cost efficiency and regulatory compliance, and support recovery processes.
- Communication Coordination: Effectively convey regulatory and tariff changes to internal stakeholders and customs brokers, ensuring accurate implementation.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong analytical skills: attention to detail and driven attitude to take ownership and deliver on commitments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory and operational information to diverse internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating with supply chain and customs departments to facilitate compliant global trade operations and effective tariff management
- Strong innovative mindset with the ability to streamline processes and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes
- Ability to collaborate and work across functional groups
