Export Customs Specialist - Heathrow - £45,000
Are you an experienced Export Customs Specialist looking to join a dynamic and well-established freight forwarder at Heathrow?
We’re seeking someone with strong customs knowledge and experience handling high volumes of export declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across a wide range of regimes.
The Role
You’ll play a key part in the export operations team, responsible for:
- Completing full export customs declarations for air freight shipments
- Managing simplified procedures including Carnets, Home Use, End Use, and other special authorisations
- Working with agents, HMRC, and customers to ensure timely and compliant clearances
- Handling large volumes of entries efficiently and accurately
- Supporting colleagues with documentation and export compliance queries
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in export customs clearance within a freight forwarding or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of CPC codes, customs regimes, and simplified procedures
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high workload under pressure
- A proactive, team-focused approach and good communication skills
