We’re looking for an enthusiastic candidate, career-minded professional with a strong background in global trade compliance and import/export regulations for US and Canada. In this role, you’ll oversee and execute daily import and export operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and adherence to all trade regulations. This role supports all Lenovo business groups. You will interface with global team members, manufacturing sites, logistics, customer service, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on import/ export regulations, incoterms, and trade compliance best practices.
- Escalating forecasted delays to appropriate internal customers
- Problem solving to meet customer satisfaction while maintaining Lenovo’s values
- Work cross functionally with manufacturing, global logistics, engineering, development, and sales
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years related experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant work experience in global trade compliance, operations, or logistics
- High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- High level of flexibility, self-reliance, and dependability
- Strong proficient with Microsoft office and particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Global experience
- SAP experience
- Complex problem solver and critical thinking; emotional intelligence
- Ability to prioritize effectively without daily oversight
- Detail oriented and sense of urgency
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $70K-90K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
