Belle Haven Investments, a boutique fixed income asset manager based in Rye Brook, NY, is seeking a motivated early-career professional (0-2 years of experience) or recent college graduate to join our Trading Operations team as a Trading Operations Associate.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in the finance industry. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to the full trade and settlement lifecycle of fixed income securities while learning the regulatory and operational mechanics that support a high-performing investment platform.
The Role: As a member of the Trading Operations team, you will support daily trading activities, regulatory reporting, data management, and client reporting. This role offers meaningful responsibility, visibility across teams, and the chance to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process trade and order entries for fixed income securities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage regulatory trade reporting via TRACE and MSRB.
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies in coordination with brokers and custodians.
- Respond to operational inquiries and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Run daily trade reconciliation reports to ensure accurate books and records.
- Develop a working knowledge of the fixed income trade and settlement lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance, and other internal partners.
- Support ad hoc projects and operational initiatives as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- 0–2 years of relevant experience, or a recent college graduate eager to start a career in finance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, finance, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.
- Prior exposure to fixed income is a plus, but not required.
- SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses, or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment,
