The Opportunity
A global logistics business is seeking a Group Trade Compliance & Quality Manager to support and strengthen compliance, quality, and operational standards across its international network.
This is a group-level role with exposure across multiple regions, focused on ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality accreditations, and driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Compliance
- Support global teams to meet all local and international trade regulations
- Oversee key compliance areas including customs entries, audits, denied party screening, KYC, and export controls
- Liaise with regulatory bodies across multiple regions
- Deliver training across compliance topics (Incoterms, ITAR, export licences, dangerous goods, customs schemes)
Quality & Auditing
- Support the ongoing development and deployment of the QMS (ISO 9001 / EN 9120)
- Assist with internal and external audits, including accreditation and customer audits
- Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures
Risk & Business Continuity
- Support regional teams in identifying and managing operational risks
- Assist in developing and maintaining business continuity plans
- Contribute to crisis management and emergency response processes
Process Improvement & Culture
- Drive a culture where compliance and quality are embedded across all operations
- Identify process improvements and support implementation of best practices
- Communicate performance insights to senior leadership
- Support operational efficiency and scalability initiatives
Additional Areas
- Support Corrective Action Report (CAR) processes and KPI tracking
- Assist with ad-hoc health & safety requirements
- Occasional travel to global offices and customer sites
What You’ll Need
- Experience within logistics, freight, or supply chain (ideally air freight)
- Background in trade compliance, audit, or quality environments
- Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Strong IT skills (Excel, reporting, presentations)
Desirable:
- Lead Auditor qualification
- Experience with ISO 9001 / EN 9120 environments
