The Global Logistics Manager will lead global transportation and logistics operations supporting commercial aerospace programs. This role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely movement of materials across international supply chains, while driving efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global logistics strategy
- Manage Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Oversee air freight, ocean freight, and multimodal logistics operations
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Manage supplier and logistics service providers (3PL/4PL)
- Drive cost optimization and lean freight strategies
- Monitor and improve supply chain performance through KPIs
- Manage Incoterms and contractual logistics agreements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, manufacturing, quality)
- Oversee documentation, audits, and compliance processes
- Support risk management and supply chain resilience initiatives
- Travel approximately 20-30%
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of logistics or transportation experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing
- Strong experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Hands-on experience in international shipping (air & ocean freight)
- Strong understanding of global trade compliance
- Experience working in multinational supply chains
Required Skills
- Expertise in multimodal logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of global trade compliance & regulations
- Experience with TMS implementation and optimization
- Knowledge of 3PL / 4PL logistics strategies and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory)
