Company Description
Carten Controls is a global leading manufacturer of Ultra-High Purity & Performance Valves and Flow Solutions to advanced manufacturing industries including the semiconductor, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food & beverage and energy markets.
The Warehouse, Logistics & Shipping Team reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, is the primary point of contact for both the warehouse team (six operators) and the shipping team (three) on a day-to-day basis.
This is a hands-on lead role where the Team Lead works alongside the team, directing daily activity, keeping things moving, and making sure tasks are completed accurately and on time as delegated either directly or indirectly by the Warehouse, Shipping & Logistics manager.
This role also acts as deputy to the Manager, stepping up to take full operational responsibility when the Manager is absent or engaged elsewhere. Given the scale of the operation, this happens in a practical, low-friction way: the Team Lead already knows the work and the team, so continuity is natural rather than formal.
The position is ideally suited to someone with a warehouse or shipping function who is ready to take the next step.
