Duties And Responsibilities
The duties of the above-named employee /contractor include the following. Other duties may be requested from time to time depending on the needs of the business or the Department Manager (or designee).
- Lead and manage all Warehouse activities for GGIE, ensuring efficient inventory control across GGIE, Dunsany, and JC Farms warehouse and storage locations.
- Oversee GGUK Warehouse activities ensuring UK revenue and customs compliance, coordination of logistics and customs clearance and related purchase order activity.
- Waste management/controls for GGIE.
- Manage Logistics (inbound and outbound) for GGIE and GGUK.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and all relevant safety, regulatory, legal, compliance and internal quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean methodologies.
- Oversee Customer Service operations for GGIE & GGUK, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely order processing.
- Manage Customer SLA’s, MSA’s as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate Sales Order creation, acknowledgement, status reporting, and proactive issue resolution.
- Develop strong customer relationships and establish best practices for communication and support.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Warehouse and Customer Service teams to ensure strong performance and engagement.
- Goalsetting, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Support inventory and shelf‑life management to ensure product quality and minimize waste.
- Partner with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide Warehouse and Customer Service S.M.E input into continuous improvement, ProdCom processes, and cross‑functional initiatives.
- Systems, Policies & Reporting
- Ensure optimal use of Greenfield Global’ s ERP systems across Warehouse and Customer Service functions.
- Establish and manage operational KPIs to monitor efficiency, compliance, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Generate and manage budgets for assigned GGIE cost centres.
Qualifications (Education, Certification, Experience)
- Relevant Business or Technical degree.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse or Customer Service Manager role.
- Experience within GMP/GDP‑regulated environments preferred.
- Lean certification (Green Belt) preferred.
- ADR, IMDG, and IATA awareness an advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sciences or related technical field preferred
- Ability to work with counterparts in multiple departments to accomplish company's goals
- 7+ years in Warehousing/Purchasing/ Planning /inventory level management preferably in a (pharmaceutical/ Life Science industry);
- Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) awareness Preferred.
- Relevant experience in a GmP environment
