We are partnering with a well‑established, global manufacturing organization to hire an Export Compliance Manager due to continued growth. This role will manage day‑to‑day U.S. export compliance activities while supporting limited exports involving Mexico, Canada, and deemed exports across Europe, South America, and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day export compliance activities in accordance with U.S. export control regulations and economic sanctions
- Support export licensing activities and perform ECCN classifications for products, technology, and software
- Oversee restricted and denied party screening and escalate potential compliance issues as needed
- Resolve export order holds related to missing or incomplete trade data elements
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and third‑party service providers to ensure compliant export execution
- Review and oversee export filings, including AES submissions
- Maintain compliant export recordkeeping and documentation
- Support internal and external audits, government inquiries, and corrective actions
- Monitor regulatory changes and assist with updating policies, procedures, and controls
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams, expats, inpats, and third parties
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and standardized processes to support continuous improvement
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to support due diligence and consistent compliance practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of export or trade compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations and trade compliance requirements
- Experience with ECCN classification, restricted party screening, export documentation, and recordkeeping
- Exposure to export licensing, audits, and prior disclosures
- Background in the transportation or automotive industry preferred
