JOB SUMMARY:
Creates customs documentation, monitors in-bond movements, export closures, inventory reconciliations and operational exceptions while providing exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Serve as a key liaison between clients, customs brokers, carriers, and the warehouse to ensure efficient, discrepancy-free operations in accordance with CBP and customer requirements ensuring customs compliance, accurate application of regulations and precise document control. .
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute and monitor import and export operations between the United States and Mexico.
Prepare, review, and process customs documentation for import, export, bonded warehouse, in-bond, and transportation shipments.
Validate customs documents, including entry summaries, invoices, manifests, packing lists, certificates of origin, bonds, and shipping instructions.
Prepare CBP Forms 62, Transportation and Exportation (T&E) documents, and other required customs forms.
Coordinate customs clearance and ensure timely release and export closure.
Monitor bonded shipments, open in-bonds, General Order shipments, and warehouse entries to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, warehouse personnel, customers, and internal teams to facilitate shipment processing.
Track shipment status and communicate delays, exceptions, or issues to the appropriate parties.
Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and international trade regulations, including CBP requirements, 19 CFR, 18 CFR, USMCA, and other applicable regulations.
Follow up with carriers, brokers, customers, and internal departments to prevent bond violations and resolve shipment issues.
Identify, document, and report compliance concerns, shipment discrepancies, and high-risk activities.
Assist with internal and external compliance audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
Prepare operational, compliance, and technical reports for management and other departments.
Collaborate with the Finance department to support billing and service invoicing.
Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, certification):
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in logistics, international trade, or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical understanding of international commerce
- Understanding of Customs compliance and use of regulatory platforms (ACE)
- Bilingual, English-Spanish is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to perform the following physical activities on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Sitting: The employee will be required to sit for extended periods throughout the workday while using a computer. This includes attending meetings, which may vary in duration.
- Standing: Standing for extended periods will be required while retrieving information, filing documents, and interacting with colleagues and customers.

- Lifting: While the primary focus is on data entry and communication, occasional lifting of lightweight objects (up to 30 lbs) may be required, such as lifting files, folders, or light packages.
- Vision: Clear vision is required for working with computer screens, reading documents, and identifying and following safety precautions in the warehouse environment.
- Hearing: Ability to clearly hear and understand spoken instructions, announcements, and conversations with colleagues in both office and warehouse environments. The ability to distinguish sounds associated with potential hazards (e.g., beeping forklifts, dropped objects) is essential for maintaining a safe work environment, particularly during occasional visits to the warehouse.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
This position offers the opportunity to earn a quarterly performance-based bonus on top of base salary. The bonus is awarded based on the quality of work, process, and safety adherence.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
A high level of flexibility may be required; must be willing to be on-call or report to work after regular work hours.
