Verantwortlichkeiten
- Ensure the accurate and compliant execution of customs and international trade transactions across various locations within the EMEIA & APAC regions, including adherence to all applicable sanctions and embargo regulations.
- Perform customs tariff classification and foreign trade classification of finished goods and raw materials in SAP (ECC6 and S/4HANA versions), and support the maintenance of foreign trade master data for locations not using SAP.
- Support the application process for Binding Tariff Information (BTI) rulings and export licenses.
- Ensure compliance with internal harmonized customs and export control processes across all EMEIA & APAC locations.
- Conduct anti-corruption and diligence reviews for shipments to and from high-risk countries.
- Prepare, support, and follow up on customs and trade compliance audits at various company locations.
- Provide advice, guidance, and training to colleagues on customs and international trade compliance topics across functional areas such as Logistics, Sales, Procurement, and Product Development.
- Perform and address daily denied party screening using the company's sanctions screening tool.
- Serve as Key User for the preferential origin calculation system, including system support and continuous improvement activities.
- Manage cross-site trade compliance documentation, including supplier declarations and preferential origin statements, and oversee compliance with the legal requirements related to Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) within the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Law, or a related field preferred. Alternatively, a completed commercial apprenticeship with additional qualifications in Customs and Export Control or an equivalent qualification or experience.
- Knowledge of international trade requirements and customs regulations.
- Strong expertise in export control and trade compliance.
- Ability to understand complex issues, analyze them effectively, and communicate them clearly to different stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP (ECC6 and S/4HANA) is preferred.
- Fluent English, additional competency in European or Asian languages are an advantage.
