Copello are working with a defence client who are looking for an International Trade Compliance Manager to support the company’s compliance with international trade compliance laws and regulations, including UK, EU and US (EAR/ITAR).
This role is ideal for someone with existing export control experience who is looking to step up into a managerial role with wider responsibility, working closely with a senior Head of ITC.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide licensing and authorisation support, guidance, and training as required to align with business needs.
- Support the development, automation, and continuous improvement of ITC processes and tools impacting all employees.
- Provide advice on the requirements, interpretation, and obligations of US export/re-export regulations and assist in implementing those requirements.
- Contribute to an environment that builds ITC competency and talent across the business.
- Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Inside Sales, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain and Projects.
- Support the evaluation of technology, hardware, and software (including classification and interpretation of UKML, Dual-Use, USML, EAR, ITAR) to identify ITC requirements and ensure appropriate authorisations and controls for exports and imports are in place.

Qualifications
- Experience with US export, security and military regulations (ITAR, EAR, CUI, DFARS).
- Experience with UK and EU export, security and military regulations (UKML, Dual-Use, Official-Sensitive, MOD F680).
- Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
