Financial Accountant
CREGG are seeking an experienced and highly organised Financial Accountant to join our clients finance team at their Shannon office. This is a full-time permanent position. The Financial Accountant is a key position responsible for managing financial reporting, overseeing payroll and reconciliations, and supporting HR and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation & presentation of management accounts.
- Reconciliations of intercompany and branch balances.
- Oversee payroll, suppliers and customer accounts reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliations.
- Supervision of accounts staff.
- An understanding of postponed accounting and customs.
- Preparation and posting of month end journals
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Monitor customer accounts regularly to track non-payments or delays and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Complete accurately and on time Vat returns, Intrastat returns, Vies returns, RCT returns, Customs & Excise Returns
Qualifications and Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Excellent Communication & presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management
- Ability to deal with challenges systematically
- Good forward thinking and planning ability
- Knowledge of Sage 50, Sage payroll, time management system
