🔍 What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be at the heart of the global customs compliance operation — working with cross-functional teams to ensure every product entering international markets meets all legal, logistical, and regulatory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Advising customs brokers on clearance instructions, including commodity codes, Customs Procedure Codes (CPCs), and import restrictions
- Accurately classifying products and ensuring customs data integrity across invoices and declarations
- Collaborating closely with sourcing, product development, and global logistics teams
- Managing and maintaining CITES documentation and processes
- Developing proficiency in global trade systems such as SAP and MIC
- Tracking key compliance metrics including duty spend, customs entry volumes, and audit outcomes
- Conducting monthly audits of customs entries to ensure full broker compliance
🌐 Preferential Origin & FTA Management:
- Overseeing supplier declarations for long-term supplier declarations (LTSDs)
- Auditing vendor compliance with preferential origin requirements
- Exploring opportunities to leverage Free Trade Agreements to drive savings
🚀 Project Work:
- Supporting automation and compliance optimisation projects
- Driving efficiency across duty management and trade workflows
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- A strong grasp of international trade regulations and customs compliance
- Experience with customs classifications and working knowledge of systems like SAP or MIC is a plus
- An analytical mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach to process improvement
