Position: Customs Specialist

Hours: 09:00-17:30
We're looking for an experienced
Customs Specialist with a strong background in processing customs entries, specifically within
road freight. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team in a well-established logistics environment, where accuracy and compliance are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate import and export declarations using platforms such as CDS, Destin8, and NCTS.
- Extract data from commercial documents (invoices, packing lists) to complete customs entries.
- Ensure correct application of duty rates, licences, and tariff classifications based on the nature of goods.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather and verify all required shipment information.
- Maintain compliance with UK import/export regulations, staying up to date with any changes.
- Submit and manage essential documentation (e.g. Certificates of Origin, T-docs) for customs clearance.
- Communicate with relevant authorities (e.g. customs officials, port health) where necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience handling customs entries for road freight shipments.
- 1-2 years experience
- Strong working knowledge of customs software and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to manage deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a proactive and professional approach.
