Position Title: Specialist – Logistics
Department: Global Logistics Operations – Middle East
Location: Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end logistics operations for the Middle East region. The role requires effective coordination with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), regional and global logistics teams, and customers to ensure timely and compliant execution of all shipment activities. The incumbent must possess strong expertise in pre‑ and post‑shipment documentation, specifically related to Letters of Credit (LC) and Cash Against Documents (CAD) for Middle East markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations for the Middle East region, ensuring smooth execution of all inbound and outbound activities.
- Manage and coordinate third-country shipment processes across Middle Eastern countries.
- Liaise with LSPs for shipment pickup scheduling, delivery tracking, and performance follow-ups.
- Communicate effectively with global logistics teams to ensure alignment on shipment priorities, compliance requirements, and operational targets.
- Prepare, verify, and manage all LC-related documentation in accordance with Middle Eastern banking and trade requirements.
- Handle CAD documentation processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
- Manage all import and export processes, ensuring alignment with regional regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific customs regulations within the Middle East region.
- Apply and interpret Incoterms accurately to ensure correct contractual and operational execution of shipments.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Prior work experience in any Middle Eastern country is highly preferred.
- Strong exposure to working with global LSPs and international teams.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms and international trade documentation.
- Familiarity with Middle East customs compliance and regulatory frameworks.
