OPPORTUNITY
GeoWealth is a Chicago-based fintech firm that offers an award-winning digital advisory platform, including Turnkey Asset Management Platform (“TAMP”) capabilities. We deliver a comprehensive and fully integrated wealth management technology platform to professionals in the financial services industry.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Trading Specialist to join our growing team at GeoWealth, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser and Turnkey Asset Management Provider. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely trade execution for client portfolios, updating investment models, and maintaining operational excellence across trading workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of portfolio trading generation, proficiency in Excel, and values quality work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Construct and validate trade instructions for model portfolios sent by investment advisers.
- Submit and monitor orders through custodians via electronic platforms (FIX) and web-based custodial systems.
- Perform pre-trade checks and post-trade reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies.
- Update and maintain investment models to reflect changes in strategy and weights.
- Work with internal investment solutions teams and advisers to ensure that trades reflect the intended outcomes.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements to enhance trading accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required. Field of study in Finance, Accounting, or Business is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in trade construction, routing, and/or execution within wealth management, RIA, asset management, or broker-dealer environments.
- Familiarity with custodian platforms (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity, etc.) and order management systems.
- Understanding of capital markets, equities, ETFs, and mutual funds.
- Experience working with portfolio accounting or order management software.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and regulators.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities, with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Proven ability to work under pressure with timed deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.

Candidates will be expected to maintain a hybrid in-office schedule. Role can be based at either GeoWealth office location:

SALARY RANGE
$80,000 – $120,000 + Benefits
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
