Role Overview
Due to increasing complexity and volume in cold chain operations, one of our large Pharmaceutical clients is seeking a Planner to support short-term planning and operational execution for product movement into and out of third-party cold chain sites—primarily in the Netherlands. This role bridges operational knowledge centered in Ireland with execution needs across the EU responsible for coordinating shipment schedules, engaging stakeholders, and driving process improvements to ensure efficient cold chain operations and strategic product planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years in pharmaceutical GMP operations and/or planning
- Strong understanding of supply and demand planning globally
- Experience with release times, lead times, and GMP quality requirements
- Familiarity with import/export trade regulations in the EU
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to build smart tools
- Strong communication and resolution-driving capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Coordination
- Manage and update weekly shipment schedules
- Serve as primary contact for planners; ensure accuracy and consistency in shipment files.
- Lead weekly calls to review schedules, address risks, and improve processes.
Process & Tool Development
- Design and implement processes for shipment data collection and offsite storage.
- Create and maintain tools with smart formulas to manage complexity.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Cold Chain Planning and site planners to resolve operational issues.
- Support project leads and assist during hypercare periods
Strategic Planning
- Conduct quarterly reviews with product owners to refine allocation strategies.
- Participate in NPI and tech transfer planning; ensure system readiness (OMP, SAP).
- Coordinate fill/finish site activities and monitor early delivery signals.
Long-Term & Reporting
- Develop 2-year site capacity and volume forecasts; share insights biannually.
- Prepare operational reports on product volumes, site performance, and planning changes for leadership.
