Synopsis
The Manager Logistics is responsible for leading and optimizing all logistics activities across the organization to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement, storage, and control of materials, components, spare parts and tools & equipment. This role ensures seamless integration between inbound and outbound logistics, customs processes, warehouse management, and component control activities. The Manager Logistics will drive operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement to support maintenance and production requirements.
Accountabilities
- Lead and manage daily operations across goods receiving, customs clearance, warehousing, dispatch, and component control to ensure smooth material flow
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, material traceability, and component availability to support maintenance schedules.
- Oversee customs compliance and ensure adherence to import/export regulations and documentation standards.
- Optimize space utilization, inventory management systems, and logistics costs.
- Establish KPIs and performance targets for logistics teams; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Manage logistics vendors and service providers, ensuring service quality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure workplace safety, proper handling of materials, and adherence to EHS standards.
- Ensure all Logistics activities comply with company policy and procedures in accordance with authority regulations and standards (GCAA/EASA / FAA).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree or postgraduate diploma in Supply Chain or Operations Management advantageous.
- Professional certifications are advantageous.
- High proficiency in English/Business correspondence required.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally in an MRO or aerospace/technical environment.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record managing warehouse, customs, and inventory control functions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary logistics teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead, develop, and manage teams, motivating them to achieve targets and drive improvement.
- Good computer presentation and reporting skills essential
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle and AMOS) are advantageous
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements within logistics operations.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation standards.
