Core ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Construction & Asset Allocation
- Support strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions
- Maintain and monitor firm-wide ETF and mutual fund model portfolios
- Analyze portfolio risk exposures, correlations, and allocation drift
- Assist in positioning portfolios relative to macroeconomic conditions
Investment Research & Due Diligence
- Conduct in-depth due diligence on ETFs, mutual funds, and other vehicles
- Evaluate performance drivers, risk metrics, fee structures, and tracking error
- Prepare formal research memoranda for internal review
- Present findings at investment committee meetings
- Monitor capital markets, fixed income trends, and equity valuation environments
Trading & Implementation Oversight
- Support portfolio rebalancing and model implementation across accounts
- Ensure trade execution aligns with internal compliance standards
- Assist in tax-efficient transition strategies for new clients
- Identify and implement tax-loss harvesting opportunities
Performance Measurement & Reporting
- Conduct performance attribution and risk analysis
- Prepare portfolio performance reports for advisors and leadership
- Monitor dispersion across client accounts relative to models
- Maintain internal investment dashboards
Advisor & Client Support
- Support advisors with investment analysis for client review meetings
- Assist in explaining investment strategy and portfolio positioning
- Translate complex investment concepts into clear client-facing language
Required Qualifications
- CFA Charterholder (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in investment analysis, asset management, or portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of portfolio theory, asset allocation, and risk modeling
- Advanced Excel proficiency and analytical modeling capability
- High level of attention to detail and operational discipline
Preferred Experience
- Experience in an RIA, asset management firm, or institutional investment platform
- Familiarity with portfolio management systems (Orion, Tamarac, NFS, Black Diamond)
- Experience with custodians such as Schwab, Fidelity, or Pershing
- Understanding of tax-aware portfolio management for HNW clients
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 (commensurate with experience and depth of expertise)
- Performance-based bonus aligned with investment oversight, client impact, and strategic contribution
