Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Procurement team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry. The Buyer will be responsible for managing procurement activities, including reviewing material requisitions, sourcing suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The role also involves coordinating with various departments, handling supplier negotiations, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing offshore dispatches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review material requisitions and plan procurement activities in alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to obtain tenders/quotations and evaluate offers.
- Process approvals and issue purchase orders/contracts to ensure timely procurement of goods/services.
- Manage supplier relations and resolve issues related to non-conforming materials or order cancellations.
- Ensure proper documentation for customs clearance, insurance, and equipment certifications.
- Support the preparation of periodic procurement reports to aid management decision-making.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience (Oil & Gas industry preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and offshore logistics is a plus.
