Job Purpose:
Exhibition Operation Manager will be accountable for the growth, development and management of Noatum event department. This includes full accountability for event sales, event services, event campaign, event performance and event profitability, whilst also maintaining a high level of client and team satisfactio
n.As an expert in the Freight, logistics, & Cargo B2B, B2C events industry, should have an excellent understanding of the role and value of events in supporting business, nurture and sales enablement programs. Must have awareness, knowledge and insight of the latest freight forwarding event trends and innovations that will be critical to success, alongside his recommendations on how these factors could impact or improve client’s satisfaction. The role also encompasses a strong people/team management capability, involving the line management of freight Event Managers, and freight Event Executives, proper costing, budgeting, close deals, build effective long run business relationships with all stakeholder.
Key Responsibilities:
- To take integral responsibility for defining and developing the Freight Events department growth plan for strengthening sales and services and client excellence – including identification of key commercial objectives, strategy, tactics, potential risks, industry opportunities and measurable KPIs.
- To drive the freight events strategy and take lead responsibility for the retention and growth of client account(s)to reach quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets
- To uphold accurate and regular tracking, trend identification and trimming of department model to drive greater efficiencies, smarter working practices and effective resource allocation
- To produce and monitor financial forecasting, billing and processes, including firm control of department spend and reconciliation
- Review pricing policies and suggest ideas that drive higher revenue
- Take the lead role in developing a new freight events value-proposition showcasing company suite of event services, pricing model and competitive advantage.
- Liaise with marketing department regarding events & general news and information
- Working with the Warehouse Managers with inventory organization & warehouse management
- Work alongside management and other departments to market and present our new proposition to prospects and customers to generate interest and new business opportunities.
- Build strong working relationships with key client contacts at a senior and strategic level to earn more about their event needs and challenges, gaining mutual trust and respect.
- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with complimentary partners in UAE, Middle east , and internationally to offer a wider range of services.
- Proactively look for new/smarter ways to improve department processes and procedures to deliver a faster, more efficient service to clients
- Coach, mentor and lead the team with clear direction and focus on their roles and responsibilities set to achieve the events business plan and associated targets and metrics
- Ensure all shipments operated and delivered on-time and on budget.
