THIS IS A ONE-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT ROLE
About the role:
The Head of Logistics will lead and optimize the end-to-end logistics function, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across the supply chain. This role will be responsible for strategic planning, operational excellence, vendor management, and team leadership to support the organization’s growth and customer satisfaction objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the logistics strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
- Oversee inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics processes, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and monitor performance of freight forwarders, 3PLs, and other service providers.
- Drive initiatives to reduce logistics costs while improving service quality.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Leverage ERP/WMS/TMS systems to enhance efficiency, visibility, and reporting accuracy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Track KPIs such as OTIF (On Time In Full), logistics cost per unit, and inventory accuracy, and report to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of logistics and supply chain experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume, multi-country logistics operations.
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and warehouse/transport management systems.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of GCC and international trade regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
