Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and oversee freight forwarding operations including sea, air, and land transportation.
Manage shipment schedules, route planning, and carrier selection to optimize delivery timelines and costs.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure smooth movement of goods.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs clearance procedures, and import/export documentation.
Monitor freight costs, negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and service providers to achieve cost efficiencies.
Track shipments, resolve delays, and proactively address operational issues impacting delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, bills of lading, invoices, and customs documentation.
Supervise and support the logistics team, fostering effective communication and performance.
Implement and improve logistics processes, policies, and KPIs to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide timely updates and resolve client queries.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are followed in logistics operations.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics management within freight forwarding or related industry.
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding procedures, international trade regulations, and customs compliance.
Proven experience with shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, airway bills, commercial invoices).
Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems (e.g., TMS, ERP solutions).
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
