Global Fruit Company is a leading importer and distributor of fresh produce, supplying high-quality products to major supermarkets across Ireland. From our state-of-the-art distribution centre in Dublin, we ensure that excellence, efficiency, and freshness are at the heart of everything we do.
We are now seeking a Logistics / Transport Planner with strong experience in Irish road freight and international logistics to join our Transport team. This is a pivotal role in ensuring our produce arrives on time, every time — from suppliers in Europe to retailers across Ireland.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate with hauliers to guarantee on-time, in-full truck deliveries.
- Develop and manage load plans, ensuring pallets are dispatched in line with customer requirements.
- Plan and manage international produce transportation, with a focus on road freight from Holland, Italy, Spain, and other European countries.
- Handle sea freight logistics, liaising with ports and ensuring smooth clearance through customs and revenue authorities.
- Work closely with Sales, Commercial, Packhouse, Goods In, and Quality teams to align transport with business needs.
- Optimise routes and schedules to reduce delays and drive efficiency.
- Proactively resolve transport disruptions with quick, effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve transport operations.

What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years’ experience in transport planning / logistics, with strong exposure to Irish road freight and European import routes.
- Solid knowledge of sea freight operations, port handling, customs, and revenue procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent English required; Italian language skills are a plus.
