The Alumina Company LLC (TAC) is an upcoming Specialty Alumina manufacturer, strategically located in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Backed by the Maithan Group and led by Aditya Agarwalla, this project brings decades of experience in the global refractory and alumina industry. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility shall deploy European technology and engineering along with equipment from leading European and Indian partners.
The plant will produce:
§ White Fused Alumina (WFA) – essential for refractories and abrasives.
§ Specialty Calcined Alumina (SCA) – critical for technical ceramics, refractories, and batteries.

Role Summary
The Head of Export/Import & Logistics will lead end-to-end logistics operations for TAC’s UAE facility, covering containerized exports, project cargo movements, and miscellaneous imports. The role requires strong operational acumen, familiarity with GCC/global trade routes, and the ability to optimize cost, time, and compliance across multimodal supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all export and import logistics for TAC’s alumina and mineral products, ensuring on-time, cost-efficient delivery.
• Manage containerized cargo flows through UAE ports (Khalifa, Jebel Ali, etc.) and coordinate with shipping lines, forwarders, and customs.
• Plan and execute project cargo logistics for heavy machinery and capital equipment during expansion and maintenance phases.
• Negotiate freight contracts, demurrage, and detention terms with global carriers and logistics partners.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs, port authority, and international trade documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and commercial teams for end-to-end supply chain visibility.
• Implement digital logistics dashboards for shipment tracking, KPI reporting, and cost control.
• Drive continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, packaging, and export readiness.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience in logistics, export/import, or supply chain management within industrial, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven experience handling containerized and project cargo in the GCC or international markets.
• In-depth understanding of UAE port operations, customs procedures, and free zone regulations.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.
• Abroad or GCC experience preferred.
