Role Description:
- Work with portfolio managers and credit analysts to implement investment decisions efficiently.
- Negotiate and execute the purchases and sales of high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and other credit instruments via Bloomberg messenger, phone, or electronic platforms (Marketaxess, TradeWeb, Bloomberg ALLQ)
- Build and maintain relationships with the sell-side counterparties, including sales, trading, and research.
- Provide real-time market color, flow updates, and price moves to the portfolio managers.
- Develop a deep understanding each account’s unique investment guidelines and apply that knowledge during the trade execution and allocation process.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests from different groups (Investment, Compliance, Client Service, Operations) simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg AIM and electronic trading platforms is a plus.
- Basic understanding of credit fundamentals.
