Nexus Customs & Legal is a specialist UK trade compliance consultancy supporting businesses with customs procedures, regulatory compliance, export documentation, and international trade advisory services. We work across all sectors including pharmaceuticals, aerospace, FMCG, and e-commerce.
We are growing and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Trade Compliance Administrator to support our operations on a part-time basis.
πΉΒ The Role
You will be the first point of contact for client enquiries and support the day-to-day administration of a busy trade compliance consultancy. This is a hands-on role with genuine exposure to international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance operations.
πΉΒ Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound client enquiries via email and LinkedIn messaging
β
Monitor job boards, compliance tenders, and contract opportunities
β
Prepare and organise documentation packs for client engagements
β
Research regulatory updates (ICS2, CBAM, export controls, tariff changes)
β
Maintain client records and update CRM/tracking spreadsheets
β
Coordinate scheduling for consultations and training sessions
β
Support LinkedIn content management and Company Page activity
β
Assist with invoice preparation and follow-up
β
Draft initial responses to compliance queries using templates and guidance
πΉΒ What We're Looking For
β
Strong written English and professional communication skills
β
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
β
Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
β
Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
β
Interest in international trade, customs, or regulatory compliance
β
Experience in administration, legal support, or compliance is a plus (but not essential)
β
UK-based with right to work in the UK
πΉΒ Desirable (Not Essential)
πΈ Knowledge of customs procedures, HS classification, or trade regulations
πΈ Experience with LinkedIn company page management
πΈ Familiarity with export documentation (certificates of origin, EUR.1, ATR)
πΈ Institute of Export & International Trade qualifications or studying towards
