Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience working in a trade compliance operations role.
- Experience working in US customs regulations and export/import controls and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
- Experience managing regional customs brokers.
- Experience with Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, such as FDA, EPA, and FCC.
Preferred qualifications:
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Import Specialist (CIS).
- Experience collaborating with third-party logistics (3PL) partners and extended workforce providers, with the ability to provide compliance process training to non-compliance stakeholders.
- Experience working in an international, collaborative, and cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge of US export/import control and NASA country-specific trade regulations as well as experience in customs broker management.
- Ability to use the ACE portal, SAP, GTM (docs, sheets, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively develop and present information to executive level management.

The Global Logistics team’s North America/South America (NASA) Operations supports material movements to meet technical infrastructure demand throughout the region. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Oversee customs brokers, carriers and third-party logistics providers in the NASA region.
- Monitor regulatory import and export requirements and business needs to implement smart solutions.
- Publish trade compliance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide project management and subject matter support for key business unit(s) with their strategic initiatives.
- Prepare trade compliance performance and periodic business reviews for services providers and work in close partnership with logistics, trade compliance legal and enablement teams.
