We are looking for a meticulous Logistics Coordinator to manage our international shipments, including small packages and B2B freight. The ideal candidate will be an expert in customs compliance, accurately classifying goods using HS codes, and preparing all necessary shipping documentation.
This role is critical for ensuring seamless customs clearance and inventory transfers across our global operations.
Requirements
- Managing small package express shipments (DHL)
- Coordinating B2B freight shipments (air freight)
- Proven, demonstrable expertise in HS code classification for electronic components, PCBA, and hardware. Candidate must be able to explain their classification methodology
- Proficiency in using official regulatory sources (TARIC, HTS, national customs databases) for verifying HS codes and restrictions
- Extreme attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset with a zero-tolerance for errors in documentation
- High level of ownership and autonomy - must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex customs-related issues independently
- Proficiency in English (Upper Intermediate or above)
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of incoterms 2020
- Familiarity with customs brokerage processes
- Certification in international trade or logistics (CITP, CCS)
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end process of international express shipments (DHL) of small packages between company offices worldwide
- Coordinate B2B freight shipments (air freight) between company warehouses and its distributors in Hong Kong, Netherlands, US, Canada, and Australia, including booking, documentation
- Accurately classify goods using Harmonised System Codes, with a deep understanding of how classification impacts customs clearance, duties, and restrictions
- Research and verify import/export restrictions for specific HS codes in origin and destination countries using official databases (e.g., TARIC, national customs websites)
- Provide all freights and shipments with correct documentation (invoice, booking forms, packing lists, certificates if applicable)
- Collaborate with internal teams and external logistics providers to coordinate all shipments
- Maintain a detailed internal database of historical shipments, HS codes used, and customs outcomes
- Track all shipments and proactively resolve any customs holds and/or delays
- Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and customs procedures
