Job Title: Logistics Manager – Medical Equipment (Warehouse)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of medical equipment.
- Implement best practices for medical device storage, including temperature and humidity control.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and warehouse SOPs.
2.Inventory Control
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular physical counts, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for real-time tracking and reporting of inventory.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and shelf-life management of sensitive medical equipment.
3.Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., MOH, FDA, ISO) related to medical equipment handling and storage.
- Maintain documentation for audits and inspections, including calibration records and quality control checks.
4.Logistics & Distribution
- Plan and coordinate transportation and delivery schedules with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
- Manage shipping documentation, including customs clearance for imported medical devices.
- Ensure timely dispatch of equipment while minimizing transit damage and delays.
5.Team Supervision
- Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure productivity and compliance with SOPs.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
6.Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers and transport companies to track incoming shipments and resolve issues.
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
7.Budget & Cost Management
- Manage logistics budgets, reduce operational costs, and optimize transportation and storage expenses.
- Analyze logistics KPIs and generate performance reports for senior management.
8.Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure that all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, temperature monitors) is regularly inspected and maintained.
- Coordinate repair and servicing schedules to avoid operational disruptions.
9.Emergency & Recall Management
- Establish procedures for handling product recalls, expired items, and damaged goods.
- Develop contingency plans for emergencies (e.g., power outages, equipment failures).
10.Sustainability & Waste Management
- Implement environmentally responsible practices for packaging and disposal of medical devices.
- Minimize waste and manage recycling programs in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in the medical or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality standards applicable to medical devices.
- Experience with WMS, ERP systems, and inventory control processes.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
