Job Title: Sea Freight Operator

Salary: AED 5,000 – 6,000 / month

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sea Freight Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in sea freight forwarding within the UAE, possess a solid client portfolio, and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of shipping operations, documentation, and Incoterms. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end sea freight operations including booking, scheduling, and coordination with carriers, shipping lines, and other stakeholders
- Prepare and manage all relevant shipping documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight agents, and clients to ensure timely clearance and delivery
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively developing new business opportunities from your own portfolio
- Monitor shipment schedules, resolve operational issues, and ensure all shipments meet compliance and customer requirements
- Stay updated with industry trends, carrier schedules, freight rates, and local regulations
- Ensure proper application of Incoterms in all shipments and transactions
- Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Finance, Customer Service) to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sea freight forwarding operations within Dubai, UAE
- Existing client portfolio is a must
- In-depth knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and Incoterms
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office and freight forwarding software/tools
