About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Executive to join their team in Abu Dhabi office. The role is critical in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication, efficient coordination, and a proactive approach to problem-solving across freight and logistics services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on shipment tracking, documentation, and inquiries
- Manage the order lifecycle from booking through delivery, including coordinating with internal departments (operations, customs, transport, etc.)
- Provide timely and accurate shipment updates to customers
- Handle escalations, delays, and exceptions with professionalism and urgency
- Ensure that customer requirements are met in accordance with service agreements
- Maintain accurate customer records and shipment details in internal systems
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent service delivery
- Prepare and send quotations, invoices, and documentation related to freight forwarding
- Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations in coordination with internal specialists
- Support KPI reporting, performance reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a customer service-related role
- Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with freight management or ERP systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-centric mindset with a proactive attitude
- Must be currently based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate
