To ensure seamless execution of the 3-month S&OP shipment plan, aligning production, logistics, and sales teams to meet customer demand while mitigating risks. The role bridges demand planning, production scheduling, and order fulfillment, ensuring timely order placement, proforma invoicing, and issue resolution (artwork, registrations, master data).
S&OP Shipment Plan Execution:
- Translate the final signed-off S&OP forecast into a 3-month rolling shipment plan, ensuring alignment with production capacity and logistics timelines.
- Continuously monitor demand shifts (via Demand Planner & Sales Team) and adjust shipment plans/closing estimates.
- Escalate risks (supply gaps, delays) to management with mitigation plans.
Order Management & Customer Coordination:
- Work with the Sales Team to place early orders and address customer requests (e.g., expedited shipments).
- Ensure orders are entered into the system promptly and proforma invoices are shared with customers/sales teams.
- Track order status and resolve bottlenecks (e.g., credit holds, documentation).
Production & Logistics Alignment:
- Collaborate with the Production Planning Team to align schedules with requested shipping timelines and logistics cut-off dates.
- Flag capacity constraints or delays that impact shipment plans.
- Lead weekly operational meetings with Production Planning & Logistics to review priorities and resolve conflicts.
Cross-Functional Issue Resolution:
- Proactively address operational gaps:
- Artwork readiness (coordinate with Marketing/Packaging teams).
- Tax registrations (liaise with Legal/Finance).
- Master data errors (partner with IT/Supply Chain teams).
Closing Estimate & Risk Management:
- Lead weekly closing estimate meetings with Sales & Finance
- Review risks to monthly targets (e.g., short shipments, excess inventory).
- Update rolling closing estimates based on latest demand/production updates.
- Escalate critical deviations to senior management with action plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering or Operations Management
- Must have at least 3 years solid S&OP and/or Integrated Business Planning experience, with demand / supply planning in a manufacturing environment highly desirable
- Must have at 6 years solid supply chain experience
- Demonstrated experience with processing large datasets
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes (incoterms, lead times, customs)
- Strong verbal or written communication skills
