About the Role
CFS Coordinator (Container Freight Station Coordinator) is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement, storage, and documentation of cargo at a Container Freight Station (CFS) — a facility where goods are consolidated or deconsolidated before being shipped or after arrival.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cargo Handling & Coordination
- Overseeing inbound and outbound cargo (LCL — Less than Container Load, FCL — Full Container Load).
- Coordinating with trucking companies, customs, warehouse staff, and shipping lines.
- Ensuring proper loading/unloading, segregation, and storage of cargo.
Documentation & Compliance
- Preparing and verifying shipping documents (e.g., Bill of Lading, Manifest, Delivery Orders).
- Ensuring compliance with customs, security, and safety regulations.
- Updating cargo status in the Company's logistics systems.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
- Acting as a point of contact for customers, freight forwarders, and internal company teams.
- Providing updates on shipment status and resolving operational issues.
Inventory & System Management
- Maintaining accurate cargo inventory records.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs processes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Office.
