Primtac Personnel is excited to join forces with an International Logistics Firm based in north Dublin looking for an experienced Import Customs Specialist with strong hands-on knowledge of Irish import customs clearance.
This role is heavily focused on imports, so our client is looking for someone who really knows the Irish customs landscape and is confident working with AIS, EU/Ireland customs rules, tariff classification, and complex documentation.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing Irish import customs clearances end to end
- Preparing and submitting declarations via AIS
- Ensuring compliance with EU & Irish customs regulations
- Handling complex import paperwork and resolving customs queries
- Liaising with brokers, Revenue, freight partners, and internal teams
- Supporting export customs clearance and forwarding when required
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Solid experience in a customs role in Ireland (essential)
- Strong, practical experience with Irish imports and AIS is essential
- Good knowledge of tariffs, classification, and customs compliance
- Able to work independently, manage multiple shipments, and stay calm under pressure
- Detail-focused with clear, confident communication skills
