You will be supporting the Distribution Manager on all Supply Chain Execution activities related to Regional Distribution Centre operations. You will participate in cross-functional activities/projects and assignments together with internal and external partners and continue to seek creative ways to improve the overall productivity of the organization and enhance customer experience
What You'll Do
The key responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist revolve around Import / Export, Domestic and Regional Warehouse and Transport Management, as well as enhancing the Customer Experience through:
- Liaising with several of our service providers to ensure on-time imports and exports of shipments, all aspects of warehousing & transportation operations (including inbound, inventory management, outbound, reverse logistics, local & regional deliveries) and other administrative activities to ensure our customers’ business requirements are met
- Working closely with other departments / functions – Customer Services, Sales, Material Management, etc. – to ensure better services to our customers and on special requests
- Working cross-functionally, using Lean Management tools, adopting global standards and guidelines, and sustainably solving root cause issues to achieve cost productivity, efficiencies, or service improvements.
- Translating business requirements into effective data visualizations to support strategic decision-making, using tools like Excel & PowerBi
- Coordinating performance reviews with relevant Logistics Service Providers and follow up on counter-measure implementation
- Ensuring cost management, invoice control and conduct necessary audits & checks to ensure that risk mitigating controls are in place within all aspects of operations
- Understanding, interpreting and communicating global KPIs and performance management reporting
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operation Management or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s is preferred.
- Proficiency in English with strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral
- Proven experience in Distribution, Warehousing or Operational Projects with clear achievement (e.g. Operations Performance Improvement, KPI Management, Process Implementation) is preferred
- Open to graduates with no experience in Logistics
- Strong Microsoft and PC skills; including PowerBi, Excel, PowerPoint,
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Ability to use Excel for analysis
- Strong Analytical skills and mathematical aptitude required
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
- Comfortable working with strict deadlines and unpredictable environment
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- High level of motivation, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mentality required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willing to work in operations as well as office environment
