We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Marine Operations Manager to lead and manage our marine operations both in the UAE and internationally. This role requires a results-driven leader with deep knowledge of ship agency operations, maritime regulations, and port logistics. The successful candidate will ensure smooth vessel operations, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive continuous operational improvements.
Oversee and manage all marine operational functions including vessel scheduling, port operations, cargo handling, and agency coordination.
Ensure strict compliance with international and local maritime regulations, port authority standards, and safety procedures.
Lead and coordinate the response to inbound service enquiries/orders from shipowners or charterers, ensuring timely and professional communication.
Monitor vessel schedules and collaborate with agents, ports, and vendors to ensure seamless turnaround and minimized downtime.
Coordinate with port authorities, shipping lines, stevedores, customs, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient port calls.
Prepare and monitor Disbursement Accounts (D/As) and provide accurate operational reporting to management.
Maintain and manage records of port regulations, handle vendor negotiations, and investigate regulatory changes or developments.
- Bachelor's degree in marine operations, Maritime Management, or a related field.
Master& degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a manager marine operations role, with a minimum of 10
years in a managerial capacity.
- Have knowledge in ship agency, customs, logistics, maritime regulations, etc.
- Familiar with the shipping business, have in-depth knowledge of ship agency
business and processes, good at summing up and writing functional requirements
and process improvement documentation.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate
a team.
Salary: 10,000 to 15,000 Dirhams
