JOB PURPOSE
Supervise the Logistics and Distribution operation for the supply of finished goods and incoming raw materials including transportation at Ducab sites to ensure the timely inward and outward movement of goods.
KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Implement all section policies, processes and procedures
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement in pursuit of greater productivity
Logistics Operations
- Organize the scheduling of vehicles for internal and external customers across Ducab sites.
- Organize the inter-site movement operations between sites to ensure goods are delivered
- Instruct and provide guidance to the logistics team at Ducab sites on day-to-day operations to ensure smooth flow of Logistics operations
- Visit Customs, ICAD and other related departments as required by operations to resolve issues and constraints
- Liaise with Central Logistics for day-to-day operations to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Execute the timely arrangement of dispatch to customers in line with requirements of Central Logistics
Logistics Documentation
- Prepare documentation and vehicle arrangements for inter-site and export consignments in line with the requirements of Central Logistics for timely and error free deliveries
Logistics Administration
- Maintain accurate, relevant files, records and data of transactions
- Manage and control the duty roster for drivers to allocate and schedule the drivers according to the delivery requirements
Yard Operations
- Liaise with the yard operations for loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods to fulfil customer requirements
Import Shipments
- Execute the timely clearance of import shipments from port across Ducab sites
- Liaise with transport companies, DOT, Port and Customs, ICAD for timely delivery of inbound shipments
- Check import and export documents for correctness and accuracy and report discrepancies
- Liaise with clearance staff and loading agents to arrange for delivery to stores
- Investigate and interpret technical specifications to resolve damages and discrepancies
- Report discrepancies and follow up with vendors, freight agents and insurance to prevent rejection of insurance claim and loss of revenue
Inspection on receipt
- Review certification documents for correctness and traceability
- Review inspection reports and documentation and report on abnormalities
SAP System
- Perform timely data entry of all transactions into SAP to ensure reliability of data stored
Reports
- Provide inputs for the preparation of accurate and timely performance reports, as required
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential : Bachelor in Supply Chain Management
Desirable :
- Professional Certification in Supply Chain, Six Sigma and 5S is preferred
- Training in Logistics Processes
- Basic understanding of knowledge in International Shipping procedures, Incoterms (2010), Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) customs rules and custom clearance procedures
- Through knowledge of Imports, Exports.
