Job Purpose:
The Senior Logistics Officer is responsible for managing and optimizing Floward’s first, mid, and last-mile logistics operations across multiple geographies. This includes coordinating with internal and exteranl realted parties ensuring cost-effective shipment execution, tracking performance against SLAs, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role plays a critical part in reducing logistics costs, enhancing logistics efficiency, and ensuring a seamless delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Execution & Coordination
- Oversee daily dispatch planning and execution across first, mid- and last-mile logistics operations.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and fulfillment teams to ensure smooth shipment flow and delivery scheduling.
- Track delivery performance and escalate SLA breaches or bottlenecks.
Carrier & Vendor Management
- Manage all (first-mid-last) logistics partners and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs.
- Track partner KPIs such as OTD, damage rate, and customer complaints; recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Support onboarding and performance reviews of logistics service providers.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate logistics documentation including bills of lading, delivery notes, shipment records, and PODs.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and regulatory standards for domestic and international shipping.
- Coordinate with compliance teams to stay updated on regional import/export regulations.
Inventory Movement Tracking
- Monitor inventory transfers across Floward’s warehouses and locations.
- Ensure real-time ERP updates for all delivery and shipment movements.
- Reconcile logistics data with warehouse inventory records when needed
Issue Management & Continuous Improvement
- Resolve delivery exceptions such as failed deliveries, reroutes, or damaged goods by coordinating with relevant teams.
- Analyze recurring logistics issues (e.g., address mismatch, delayed customs clearance) and propose process improvements.
- Partner with stakeholders to enhance fulfillment speed and delivery accuracy.
Reporting & Insights
- Generate periodic reports on logistics KPIs such as delivery success rate, cost per shipment, and SLA adherence.
- Provide actionable insights to reduce costs, enhance delivery timelines, and improve partner performance.
- Use reporting data to support strategic logistics decisions and budget planning.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain operations.
- ERP/logistics system experience (e.g., MicroSoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent).
- Familiarity with real-time shipment tracking tools.
- High attention to detail and proactive follow-up.
