Salary: AED 3500 - AED 5500
Position Overview: The Public Relations Officer (PRO)
Responsible for all activities related to government liaison and compliance, including but not limited to labor, immigration, maritime authorities, RTA, customs, and port authorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong network within Dubai government entities and be well-versed in both marine and land transport documentation and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all government-related processes (visa applications, residency permits, Emirates ID, labor contracts, medicals, etc.) for both crew and office staff.
- Manage company and vessel documentation with Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), Federal Transport Authority (FTA), and Dubai Ports (DP World).
- Coordinate with RTA and customs for vehicle permits, road transport documentation, and customs clearance related to logistics operations.
- Renew company trade licenses, chamber of commerce registrations, and other legal documents. Ensure timely processing of crew joining/leaving formalities, seafarer visa applications, and port entry passes.
- Maintain up-to-date records and tracking of all documents, approvals, and renewals. Liaise with Free Zones (e.g., JAFZA, DMC, DMCC) for company and personnel-related processes.
- Handle notarization, attestation, and translation of legal documents when required.
- Monitor changes in UAE labor, immigration, and transport regulations and ensure compliance.
- Provide advice and support to management on government-related issues and regulatory matters.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven work experience as a PRO in Dubai for at least 3+ years, preferably in the marine or transport industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, immigration procedures, port authority regulations, and marine compliance requirements.
- Excellent relationships with government offices (DMCA, FTA, Immigration, MOL, RTA, etc.).
- Familiar with online government portals (e.g., Tasheel, GDRFA, MOHRE, E-Channel, Amer, etc.).
- UAE driving license is mandatory.
- Fluent in English & Arabic (both written and spoken).
- Proficient in MS Excel and other software tools
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Familiarity with maritime documentation like crew lists, port clearance, and flag state formalities
