Key Role
To take operational responsibility for EU customs entries, processing a share of declarations directly in the UK while overseeing the transactional customs team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process EU import and export customs declarations in CargoWise with accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve client and internal customs queries as required.
- Liaise with HMRC, carriers, and clients as required.
- Provide day-to-day cover for Operations as required.
- Support compliance reporting and audits, ensuring regulatory obligations are met.
- Drive continuous improvement, working with IT and Process teams to simplify workflows and improve accuracy/efficiency.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in EU customs operations (2 years minimum).
- Good knowledge of UK/EU customs legislation and CDS procedures.
- Familiarity with CargoWise (training provided if needed).
- High attention to detail and accuracy with data.
- Flexible, collaborative, and willing to support cross-functional cover.
Location: Hybrid with 3 days at our Manchester Head Office.
