About the Role:
The Warehouse & Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all warehouse and logistics operations to ensure accurate inventory management, efficient product flow, and timely delivery of goods to customers and project sites. The role demands a balance of strategic planning and hands-on operational management to support Nolte’s growing retail and project business in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
- Maintain optimal inventory accuracy through systematic stock audits and ERP updates.
- Ensure safe, organized, and efficient use of warehouse space.
- Establish and enforce safety, cleanliness, and quality control standards.
Logistics Operations
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams.
- Optimize delivery schedules and routing to ensure timely delivery to customers and project sites.
- Oversee customs documentation and ensure compliance with UAE logistics and trade regulations.
- Evaluate transport vendors and negotiate service agreements to control logistics costs.
Process & System Management
- Implement warehouse management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) for stock and shipment tracking.
- Generate and analyse KPIs such as delivery accuracy, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics staff to ensure productivity and accountability.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team performance against defined goals.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CILT or APICS preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, ideally in the kitchen, furniture, or construction-related industry.
- Proven experience in managing teams, logistics partners, and warehouse facilities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP/Oracle and MS Excel.
- Sound knowledge of UAE import/export processes and logistics regulations.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
