Key Account Manager – Global Freight Forwarding (Dubai/UAE)

A global freight forwarding company is hiring a Key Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of long-standing, multi-million dollar accounts (average client relationship 10+ years). You’ll be the commercial lead for key customers across FMCG, Events, Consumer/Retail, Ambient & Chilled logistics, High-Value Goods, and Energy.
This is a high-trust role: protect the relationship, run senior stakeholder meetings, and drive growth through upsell and cross-sell across air, sea, road, warehousing and value-added solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage strategic, high-value accounts with complex supply chain requirements
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers (Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance)
- Lead service reviews, QBRs, and commercial meetings with clear agendas and actions
- Upsell and cross-sell: new lanes, additional services, warehousing, time-critical, temperature-controlled, insurance, customs, project logistics
- Coordinate internally with operations, customer service, pricing, and finance to deliver consistently
- Handle escalations professionally (service issues, delays, claims) and protect the relationship
- Manage renewals, contracts, rate reviews, and commercial negotiations
- Maintain account plans, forecasting, and pipeline visibility
What we’re looking for
- Key Account Management experience within freight forwarding/logistics (must-have)
- Strong commercial capability: you can grow accounts without burning trust
- Confident communicator who can lead meetings and influence stakeholders
- Experience with at least some of: FMCG, retail/consumer, events logistics, temperature-controlled (ambient/chilled), high-value cargo, energy
- Highly organised, responsive, and calm under pressure
